  • Andrew Ayres

    Andrew was born in Guernsey and was educated at Elizabeth College, Warwick University and the Inns of Court School of Law. Andrew qualified as an Advocate in 1993, having been called to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 1992.

    Andrew has been Senior Partner of the firm since its formation in 2004 and has built a reputation as a courtroom advocate in civil and criminal litigation. He has appeared in court in a number of very high value personal injury and fatal accident claims, in each case acting for the defendant insurer.

    Since 2012, Andrew has specialised in conveyancing and property work, building a property department to become one of the leading property firms in the island.

  • Samantha Bailey

    Samantha was born in Guernsey and was educated at the Ladies’ College, Warwick University and the Inns of Court School of Law. Samantha qualified as an advocate in 2000, having been called to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 1998. She has been Finance Partner of the firm since its formation in 2004.

    Samantha is highly regarded for her expertise in medical negligence and personal injury cases. She is regularly instructed for both defendant insurers and claimants. She has been involved in a number of very high value personal injury and fatal accident cases, acting for the defendant insurer.

    As well as dealing with most other kinds of civil litigation, Samantha has many years’ experience in child care and family work (adoptions, divorce, judicial separations, pre-nuptial agreements, contact/residence cases). She represents parents and children (through FPAS, the Family Proceedings Advisory Service).

  • Mark Priaulx

    Mark joined Trinity Chambers LLP in 2019, having worked on Court Row since 2010.

    Mark qualified as a Guernsey advocate in 2016, having previously qualified as an English solicitor in 2013. Mark has a broad range of experience in general practice, both in contentious and non-contentious areas, and his areas of practice have a predominantly local focus.

    Mark undertakes building and property disputes, saisie (mortgage repossession proceedings), employment matters, family and inheritance disputes and debt recovery.

    Mark also acts in non-contentious matters for locally based clients, including advising on property matters and will drafting, employment and housing licence advice, and in applications to the Royal Court for personal appointments such as guardianship, Guernsey realty administration orders and liquor licences.

  • Alexandra Stevens

    Alexandra joined Trinity Chambers LLP in 2020. She qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2018, having previously qualified as a Jersey solicitor in 2015.

    Alexandra has a broad range of property experience, having started her career as a Jersey conveyancer in 2008. Alexandra moved to Guernsey in 2019, transferring internally within the property department of a large pan-Channel Island law firm.

    Alexandra joined Trinity Chambers LLP with the intention of developing and growing a commercial property department and to assist the firm’s already thriving residential property team. Her experience in both islands brings a unique perspective when trying to find solutions in complex and high-value property transactions. The mainstay of Alexandra’s work is leasehold commercial property advice and transactions.

  • Peter Stahelin

    Peter qualified as an English solicitor in 1987 and was called to the Guernsey Bar in 2012. He joined Trinity Chambers LLP in 2021.

    After a number of years in private practice, which included working in the Middle East, he moved in-house to become Group Legal Director and Company Secretary for a long-standing client. Following periods as Head of Legal to the Association of Train Operating Companies in the privatised rail industry and Head of Legal for a significant pension administration and software business, Peter was appointed as Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Cable and Wireless with responsibility for Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and Bermuda.

    Peter focuses on commercial matters (including corporate governance), business sales and acquisitions, the utilities, commercial property and intellectual property.

  • John Doherty

    John Doherty, Compliance Manager

    John joined Trinity Chambers LLP in November 2021 with over 10 years of compliance experience. John obtained a Bachelor’s Degree In Theology at University Of Exeter in 2011 and returned to Guernsey and started his career with The Financial Regulator before moving to one of the biggest financial services and pension providers in Guernsey.

    Having achieved the Ica’s Diploma in Governance Risk and Compliance, John brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to his role at Trinity where he manages all aspects of Compliance and Data Protection.
